Jack Genna, age 98, resident of Fountain for 54 years. He was born November 20, 1919 in New York to Rose Savoia. He was a favorite nephew of Vinnie Ciafalo.
Jack joined the AF at 17 years of age. He married Joan Fiorentino in 1953.
Jack was a TSGT and fought in WWII and the Korean War. After an assignment in Goose Bay Labrador, he was stationed at ENT AFB and worked at NORAD. He retired from the Air Force in 1968 and then worked as an officer at the Bank of Fountain Valley...

Jack joined the AF at 17 years of age. He married Joan Fiorentino in 1953.
Jack was a TSGT and fought in WWII and the Korean War. After an assignment in Goose Bay Labrador, he was stationed at ENT AFB and worked at NORAD. He retired from the Air Force in 1968 and then worked as an officer at the Bank of Fountain Valley for 16 years. He finished his working career at the Colorado Springs auto auction for 15 years.
He is preceded by his brother John Savoia of N.J., and 2 special brother-in-laws Peter Perry and Anthony Furentino, both of PA.
Jack is survived by his loving wife Joan, 3 children Jack (Deb), Michael, and Susan (Ray), 6 grandchildren Jesse, Joseph, Brian, Delaney, Caleigh, and Jackey, 2 great grandchildren, and 1 on the way. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Elaine Savoia of NJ, and sister-in-laws Gloria Fiorentino of PA, Marylou Perry of PA, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday, February 1 at Dove Witt at 10:30am with a visitation at 9:30am.
Jack was a wonderful Father, Papa, and provider for his family. He was an unselfish, caring, and gentle man. He will be desperately missed.
